10 CALIFORNIA CITIES HAVE MINIMUM WAGE INCREASES GOING INTO EFFECT ON JULY 1st!

With all of the COVID-related changes impacting employers in California, here’s a friendly reminder that 10 cities have local minimum wage increases going into effect on July 1st. Please keep in mind the dollar amounts reflected below do not include special “hero pay” ordinances that are still in effect in several locations.

Although these changes impact nonexempt workers in these areas, the minimum salary threshold for exempt employees is based on the state’s set minimum wage and will remain the same through the end of the year. The minimum salary threshold is currently $58,240/year (26 or more employees) or $54,080 (1-25 employees).

We empathize with all of the regulations employers must keep tabs on. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any questions whatsoever.
