California’s Minimum Wage Increase

September 25, 2013 by Steve Holden

minimum wage increaseMinimum wage increase! Today Governor Brown will sign the minimum wage increase passed by the California Legislature. California’s minimum wage will rise from $8 per hour to $9 per hour, effective July 1, 2014. Effective January 1, 2016, it will increase to $10 per hour. We recommend that employers calendar these increases to ensure that payroll systems are updated prior to the effective dates.
