California’s Minimum Wage Increase
Minimum wage increase! Today Governor Brown will sign the minimum wage increase passed by the California Legislature. California’s minimum wage will rise from $8 per hour to $9 per hour, effective July 1, 2014. Effective January 1, 2016, it will increase to $10 per hour. We recommend that employers calendar these increases to ensure that payroll systems are updated prior to the effective dates.
